Call for Survey Participants: Creating safe workplaces for newcomers (2024)

OPEN UNTIL END OF MARCH 2024: What are the challenges and opportunities for creating safe workplaces for newcomers? Are you a Canadian employer with experience managing a diverse workforce, including newcomers to Canada? The research team on this study needs your expertise. The team's goal is to build a broad understanding of current approaches used to address newcomers’ safety in the workplace. Your insights will inform the development of resources to help employers manage occupational health and safety in linguistically and culturally diverse work environments. To take part, or to find out more information, please contact Edda Bild, project coordinator, at [email protected]. Target audience Employers; newcomers and the settlement and employment agencies supporting them; occupational health and safety policy-makers, professionals and practitioners

This virtual space is designed to help us connect across the land that we are currently calling Canada. Our members are standing on different parts of this land that many Indigenous peoples have been taking care of for millennia before settlers arrived. We acknowledge the injustices that have been committed in the past and the harms that continue. We are committed to learning, sharing knowledge, and working towards a just future through building respectful relationships between established or recent settlers and the first nations of what we now call Canada.
